A face and name familiar in the Nepalese music scene, Abhishek S. Mishra has been active in many ways. Be it as a talk show host or a radio show host – The Rock Show – or his grunge tributes – or his KICKASS open mic sessions on Wednesdays at Purple Haze – or his bluesy roots in Spirit X circa 2014. Taking up his initials resulted in a groove rock band based in Kathmandu, Nepal named ASM in 2018. It consists of Saiyed Shakya on lead guitars (formerly from Electric Air and Vadi), Simon Upreti (Mellow Malady) on bass guitars, Abhishek S. Mishra on vocals & rhythm guitar and Nikesh Manandhar (from at least a dozen active bands and formerly Vadi & Electric Air) on drums and percussion. ASM has released their debut album 'ASM-I' on April 10th 2021 consisting of 12 tracks in total released exclusively via Noodle. The album launch was a year in the making which finally came to be at Beers N. Cheers, Jhamsikhel on April 10, 2021. And voila, the silver lining, this delay of sorts gave them enough time to work on their second release ASM–II which will be out in November 2021!! This is one more band that you don’t want to miss if they’re playing live anywhere near you or even 500KM afar!
