Biography

With rootings from the prog archives of Nepal, a band slowly began to garner a steady following through their practice room videos and live performances. “Jindabaad” has been an essential part of the progressive / art rock music in Nepal. A Kathmandu based post alternative / post rock band or an “art rock” band as they like to call themselves, they’re definitely a crowd favorite in our scene. Formed initially as a supergoup in 2009 for the GBOB, the band is now a decade old. Breaking on to the scene with “Rewind”, “Shades of You” and “Racist”, the band comprises of Rohit Shakya, Sunny Tuladhar, Rajan Shrestha, Abhishek Bhadra and Kiran Shahi with the occasional lyrical collaboration with another legend of the scene – Bibhusan Basnet.
