“Najeekai” is the new offering from Pooh Za and it is a trip down the memory lane while sounding fresh at the same time. The ambience is very 00s R&B and soul with the production and beat production top notch as always from Thajville. If you were big on Ashanti or Mary J. Blige or Aaliyah – you’d know what’s up. The dynamics are fun on this one. Her voice definitely has a presence of its own. We would also love to see her delve into newer lyrical themes as well. That would be an interesting change of pace as well maybe – given the production quality that the combination of Poo Za and Thajville have always maintained. A smooth release!
