Biography

Born in 1976, Bobin started writing original songs at the age of 16. After releasing his first album, “Heroes of Dreams” in 1996 he went to Japan to pursue higher education. In 1999, while he was still studying in Japan, he formed a new age oriental rock band called “Bobin and the Mantra”. Bobin has been musically active mostly in Japan and Taiwan. He has performed in music art festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival in Japan and Ho-Hai-Yan Rock Festival in Taiwan. Since 2007, Bobin has been organizing a social cause event in Patan called “Shanti Utsav” where he uses candles and music to spread messages of positivity. Bobin returned home to Nepal in 2010 and has been playing with his band, The Himalayan Connection (THC) and continues to do so to this day.
