Biography

Trees is an experimental folk unit which amalgamate contemporary folk and cultural sounds with western acoustics and electronica. Started in 2018 the trio is based in Kathmandu valley, Nepal and constitutes Nikita Shrestha, Pratik Thapa and Dixit Adhikari. The music is a blend of Traditional Nepalese folk with contemporary urban soundscapes achieved through a fusion of traditional Nepalese repertoires in popular western harmonic context.
