Biography

A third generation Nepali folk singer, daughter of the legendary Hira Devi Waiba was born in Kurseong, Darjeeling and grew up in a musical family, and her mother had trained her to sing since childhood. Her unfortunate demise in January 2011, left brother Satya Aditya Waiba and her devastated, and in 2015 they both decided to carry on her legacy. They work as a team and her brother manages, produces all their music projects and have recorded and released their first album called “Ama Lai Shraddhanjali” based on Tamang Selo, Maruni and Folk on 3rd November 2017 in Patan Museum in collaboration with the Folk Band Kutumba.
After the launch of our first album, she has been working on new songs, and has already released four originals.
