Biography

Bobaa aka Bibek Maharjan is a singer/songwriter from Kathmandu now based in Lisbon. He explores pop/rock/ballet. He began exploring the idea influenced by popular music presented during the 90's, be it from the tune of santoshi mata that his mom played every morning to western musicians with a zest of Bob Dylan vibe. You can find moments of nostalgia in his music and feel the colour looking at his previous works with AstrA Band. The Band managed on the Top 10 with new Top debut songs with songs like Alchi Moro, Nepal Bandai Cha and Sarara Kathmandu Sahara. His compositions are influenced by the raw feeling as he perceives the world as it is. He is looking ahead to share more experiences through music. He writes within romanticism, social motivation as well as self realisation sense.
