Biography

Mackiller is an alternative rock band hailing from Pokhara, formed in 2008/09. The band used to plug their bass guitar on an old tape that connected to a woofer which was named “Mackiller 107” thus the name was decided. Mackiller as a word reflected stability and desire to go on despite the hurdles humans or artists face. The lineup consists of Elvin Pariyar (guitar), Safal Pariyar (drums), Robin Gurung (bass) and Roshan Gurung (vocals/guitar). The band's early days were spent improvising and covering Albatross, who were a big influence. After winning the Inter College Band Competition organized by NTHMC in 2014, the band went on hiatus for a few years. The release of “Timima Haraye '' in 2013, and their new song “Farkera Aayidiye '' on December 1, 2020 starring Namrata Shrestha and Animesh Shahi in their first official music video brought the stability back.Currently the band is working on their debut album.
