“Feels” – an instrumental album from PsNoBs starts off with '16'. A juicy overdriven riff and steady drumming takes sharp turns and subtle variations. The clean sections are absolutely gorgeous. Nothing too technically fancy – just the instruments doing a beautiful cohesive work and maybe this is meant to be what 16 as an age feels like. Fresh, playful and bright. “Mela” comes in next with a festive intro as the name suggests. Playful Nepalese style beats and clean plucking sections – this feels festive and the melancholic switch a minute feels like a light drizzle with its lively keys melody before returning to the original frame and a Nepali 90s pop feel. The third track is “Panic Monster” and almost sounds like the OST to a retro video game before turning into a tasty jam track. The synths and vocal layering lead to a pentatonic meltdown and this might just be the heaviest one off the EP. The final track “Lost / Found” almost starts off as a Silk Route track. The gorgeous reverb laden clean guitars and dual layering with ambient synths and buildup – this is blissful and peaceful and the highlight of the EP for us. This EP sounds exactly as it is supposed to sound like – a group of friends/ musicians coming together having fun playing whatever they feel like within the mellow spectrum. The tone is bright and warm on this one.
