A crisp release from the vegan straight edge hardcore out of Finland. A chaotic Tibetan chant and guitar noise starts off this mosh fest. The title track “Kill Your Idols” is a banger from the start. Clocking in at 3 minutes, the production is crisp and if you’re on acts like Converge or our very own NDIF – this album should put a smile on your face straight away. The sludgy outro of this song is kickass !! “Harm” comes in next with a grand intro that turns into chaos with its frantic guitar and drums. A slow tremolo chugs make this a sludgy affair – a lovely affair!! Switching things up is an identifiable trait in this style of music per se and this outfit does it will class! “Daydreamer” is a jolt into awakening – the pick scrapes – the sonic assault – another thumper! This is a straight up tune with classic written all over it. Next comes “Interlude – Frail” with modulated guitars and an eerie ambience and does exactly what an interlude is meant to do – providing a break before the brutal “I Will Never Be One Of You” kicks in with a prolonged feedback and a groovy AF intro. The mid song break and muckfest is crushing. “Bleed Till It’s Done” starts off with an interestingly timed riff before transforming into the chaos that you know this album has brought so far. This one sounds like Nirvana Bleach B-sides on meth. The seventh track “Collapse” is another crusher and our favorite from the album. The last quarter of this song – the descend into chaos is properly planned. “Backwater” comes in next and is a nice straight up pumped up change of pace with familiar breakdowns that could have been switched up a bit but a solid track nevertheless. The second interlude of this album follows entitled “Interlude – A Boy A Son” and sounds like the diary of a priest during apocalypse maybe. Longer than the previous one – the repetitive guitars build a tense environment and a proper setup for “A Test Upon Sanity” – that sounds like - a reckless drive down the Araniko highway at 120 km/hr – on the wrong side of the road – for the lack of a better analogy. This one should definitely be seen live whenever possible. The final track “10th” comes in finally and is a proper finish to this solid offering. A tremolo fest this one. All in all a good hardcore cross country collaboration!
