Adder Tongue is the intro track and the EP art makes sense straight away. Tackling issues of Hindu radicals as well as the Terai situation – the feedback samples intensifies the audio sample. The ‘banana hai” echo might be a coincidence or a hilarious jab – it managed a chuckle out of us. This is slow and mischievous before the last frantic minute that drops on you like Thor’s hammer. The mixing on this one is rawer compared to their latter offerings. The title-ception track comes in next representing the band name as well as the EP name. Andreas Kisser comes to mind a lot with the riffage in this one. Two tempo switches and this is easily a banger of a track. Juicy riffs and the throatiest vocal delivery – pure energy through and through. “Built on Wrongs” almost sounds like early death and black metal with its ferocious bludgeoning – short and to the point – and it gives way to “Diet of Ignorance” – the most in your face track on this record – a big Converge influence is evident in the band but without sounding too much like them in any way. One more kickass track. The power surge on this record is awesome. “Praise The Tyrant” starts with an audio sample talking about flags and the delusions around it and if you thought the band couldn’t get more aggressive than the previous track – they prove you wrong on this one. A minute into this 3-minute track and you can imagine moshpits starting up at gigs. A highlight of this EP in our opinion. The final track “Holy Mother Corrupt Child” starts silently – a tad bit gloomily – with delay laden guitars – and a doom metal feel – the most different sounding start to a song before bursting into familiar territories. The contrast in the intro and the latter part hits you differently and is definitely a real strong way to close an already kickass EP.
