Clocking in at around 17 minutes with a striking artwork, “Corrupted Society” is a face melter! Recorded, mixed and mastered at Sound Fusion studio, the intro track gives you an idea of the carnage to come. Impressive growls and a few riff switches gives it way to the title track that doesn’t waste its time turning into a banger of a tune. Riffage, harmonics and all your aggression against the ways of the ‘modern’ society – this is a killer live and the technical switch at 1:08 is a killer one. Check out the music video if you haven’t as well. Ending with chants of ‘Fuck Society’, the third track is “Math Sikney Neta” and you needn’t be a Laxmi Prasad Devkota to understand the wordplay in the song title. Disjointed chord strums builds up the aggression for this one before exploding after the minute mark and as the title suggests it is a resentment of the political system and the individuals involved in it. Next up is a title track of a different kind. “Screaming Marionette” with a muted playful intro is one of the highlights of the album. Almost sounding like the latter half of Emperor’s musical journey, the switches in this one is sick and vocals on point. A perfect one for moshpits and slam dances. “Execution” is the second last track and the one with the most prominent guitar solo. A straight up heavy - execution - this one. The EP ends with “Gali” and what a closure this one is to a banger of an EP. Interesting melody choice and time signature on this one and it also saw a music video release for it. A definite crowd pleaser. All in all, an impressive debut and we hope for more releases soon.
