“Astro Electric” is the opener for this EP and the first 20 seconds already give you a glimpse of what is to come. A fun filled journey with synth, guitar and arpeggios and a spacey sound. The arrangements on this track is smooth and even almost feels like you are starting an RPG game holding the controllers ready for Round 1. “Traveller’s Tale” is the second track clocking in at 6 minutes with an exquisite acoustic intro reminiscent of maybe Jethro Tull if it wasn’t for the modern sounding keys. The guitar work is lovely on this one and the song title is justified by the different corners of the song as if it is a journey itself. “Megatron” is a keyboard led electro prog track that balances both sides of the genres well while sounding a bit ominous as well – as if it is a warning of something coming – the synths mainly gives off this feel and is an interesting offering midway this EP. The fourth track “Then and Now”, goes back to a laid back acoustic root with accompanying snynths and swells before its grand rise and end almost sounding power metal at times – but still safely within a progressive boundary. “Of Children and Men” is the final track on this all instrumental EP with a gorgeous piano line starting it off. The wonders that DAW can do these days if used wisely. The track sounds like an ode to nostalgia. "Riverrun" comes in as the closure. A reprise of sorts of AstroElectric and this feels like playing your 90s video game - terminator console - sweeping through different levels of Contra. The heaviest sounding one of this EP and a good way to close it off. While later, he has taken up singing and vocal features, this EP is completely instrumental and definitely worth giving a spin while you travel.
