Sarad Shrestha (a renowned figure of our music scene) founded Tumbleweed Inc. in 2012 as a side project. Tumbleweed Inc. is made up of Sarad Shrestha on guitars, Suwas aka Ktm Souljah on vocals, Prashant Maharjan on bass, and Roben Neupane on drums. Tumbleweed Inc's debut album, Parichaya, released in 2014, was probably the first to effectively combine the seemingly incompatible sounds of rap and heavy metal. The album is made up of fifteen tracks that run for over 45 minutes. Their outspoken social and political activism is energizing. “Geda” is a powerful song with aggressive singing, loud guitars, and heavy drumming. “Funk that shit” and “President” are few of their masterpieces in this album. Gone are the drinking and girls-related lyrics; instead, their lyrics now reflect a heightened sense of social consciousness and satire, giving the album a genuine sense of realism. Needless to mention, this is a perfect rap-metal record produced in Nepal. The rap-rock-funk band has given the Nepali music scene a taste of hip-hop lyrics backed by a groovy beat, inspired by international acts like RATM, Snot, Primus, and Beastie Boys.
