'Mitho Bihani', the 2013 release by Topi, is their first full-length album. Their signature pop/rock sound that is consistent throughout the album gives it its flow and makes for an easy listening experience. The first track 'Rangharu', which features Astha Tamang Maskey was instantly loved by the Nepali audience during the time of its release. The band's knack for taking inspiration from natural elements like colours or the weather goes together with a melodious electric guitar in songs like 'Eklai'. 'Dherai' is a collaboration with Lochan Dahal, and it introduces a hint of an indie-folk element to the album. The album also features 'Thorai', one of their most popular songs, and its movie-like build-up from a slow piano ballad to a full blown-out blues-y rock anthem makes it no surprise. The lead singer's deep, story-teller voice is effective in bringing an earthy tone to 'Sangharsha' and an emotional self-reflective theme to 'Mitho Bihani'. 'Pyaro Hajurama', a soulful acoustic song about life, love, family, and responsibilities, is another memorable track. All in all, the 12-track album is well-rounded and timeless, and its excellent musical standard and catchy melodies makes its songs perfect to sing along to.
