‘Geet Haru' was released by the duo Topi in 2011, and it is a collection of five timeless songs. The classic pop/rock that is true to the early 2010s shines through in this EP. The nostalgia one derives from the album today is perfectly captured in the first song, 'Yaad Haru', for which a creative music video was released on YouTube as well. While the EP has a dreamy way of singing of love, heartbreak, and hope within a consistent genre, the songs depict a variety in pace and dynamic, which seeks to keep the listening experience interesting; 'Malai Bachauna' for instance is a slower tune with a blues-y tone. In the full-blown rock anthems 'Sayad' and 'Hamro Sapana', Topi's knack for eliciting emotions with grounded words is evident. The final track of the album is called 'Kosis' and it definitely stands out among the rest, given its contrasting acoustic mood created with an acoustic guitar and minimal production.
