Single Details & Review
This fresh new release from Pahenlo Battii Muni is a vast array of emotions and melodies that starts off with an acoustic melody – representative of a clock ticking away somehow – as if you’re watching the second hand propel as the music plays. Straight up – the bassline is exquisite in this one. PBM has two well-known sides – a heavier prog one and a melody based folkish side – this track balances both perfectly. The melancholy in the tune as we hear – Yo ghar timro na mero – Baato lagnai paryo – is a beautiful one. The breaks and sections are well planned with each part adding more to the song and the 4-minute mark transition before the solo with a playful vocal phrasing and a bass effect laden rise – is a lovely one. If we look for an analogy – this tune is reminiscent of the second half of 'Nepathya’s – Bheda Ko Oon Jasto' album. This isn’t an unhealthy comparison – PBM’s flair of balancing folk, Nepali lyricism and modern heaviness is unique and original – we just wanted to mention a sweet nostalgic territory of how this song made us feel as that album did at that time. The vocal soars over the song as the title suggests and every instrument is dubbed in with precision and planning. A quality track from a quality outfit – PBM is here to stay and you don’t want to miss out on it in any way!
