Biography

Gauley Bhai is a Bangalore-based four-piece band that was founded in 2017. Joe Panicker on Drums, Veecheet Dhakal on Vocals and Violin, Siddhant Chettri on Guitar, Anudwatt Dhakal on Bass Guitar, and Veecheet Dhakal on Vocals and Violin. Nepali folk, rock, blues, fusion, and modern styles like hip-hop have all influenced their music. Their songs are about the spaces they live in: personal, social, and political. Most importantly, they rise above the rest of the country's indie musicians because they had the confidence to sing in their own language rather than conforming to the standard. For now, the band is touring for their debut album "Joro" while work on its second album as well, taking creative breaks when it can.
