Biography

Formed from the remnants of “that” band that won the 6th KCM ICMC in 2009, Kamero is a progressive ensemble formed in 2014. Born from practice sessions at Acoustica (Sigal), taking odd time signatures and Neo-Freudian themes into their lyrics while devouring on Buff Chops and Momos, they were also one of the Top 3 winners of Livewire: Mood Indigo 2014. From putting a mosquito net in front of the stage to abstract mind boggling imageries, this band is known for the “visual” experience that they put on during their less frequent live shows. Same rules apply when we take into account of how they upped the ante for music videos in Nepal (Check them out if you haven’t). And if you were an avid fan of the local music scene circa 2015/16, you definitely caught this band live play low key shows with the progressive punk act “Social Nerve” on many-a-different occasion. “Kamero” is a type of white soil found in the Terai region of Nepal mostly used for decorating walls and maybe the meaning transcends into their music as a measure of pouring out our reality through random patterns and sonic imagery – taking extreme care in its creation and catering. From DIY gigs to Silence Fest, the band has traversed different crowds and venues and is now currently working on their second album.
